Golden HEART paramedics/EMS was established by the Heart of America Medical Center (a non-profit organization) in December of 1996. One of the program goals was to offer administrative support to the local volunteer ambulances that utilized our hospital. A major concern among the services was reimbursement and ambulance transports. Our program addresses these concerns by offering contractual billing services for their ambulance transportation charges. Under our program, our customers have seen a substantial increase in cash flow and revenues. These badly needed funds have allowed the ambulance services to obtain new ambulances and equipment. This program has progressed into a state-wide program serving over 65 ambulance services. We currently serve both small (15 calls a year) and large (1000 calls a year) services.  Below is a list of our current customers:
