Cancer Patient Care Fund

The Cancer Patient Care Fund was established in 2017 in conjunction with the opening of HAMC’s chemotherapy infusion suite. Patients who reside in the HAMC service area may apply for up to $1,000 in support in the form of hotel vouchers, airline tickets, grocery gift cards, payment of non-covered medical bills, utility bills, etc.

Our goal is to make life easier for individuals and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Funds are available to all patients receiving cancer treatment at Heart of America Medical Center and area residents receiving treatment elsewhere (Rugby, Towner, Leeds, Maddock or Dunseith zip codes). There is no financial needs test.

The Cancer Patient Care Fund is managed by the Good Samaritan Health Services Foundation. You may download the application form here. For more information, contact your HAMC healthcare provider or the Foundation office at 701-776-5455 ext. 2149.

Contributions to the Cancer Patient Care Fund are welcome. Mail to Cancer Patient Care Fund, GSHS Foundation, 800 S Main Ave, Rugby, ND 58368 or you may donate online.
