Public COVID-19 Vaccine Availability
Rugby, ND –
Heart of America Medical Center - Johnson Clinic in Rugby has begun contacting their patients who are eligible to receive the COVID -19 vaccine during Phase 1B of disbursement plan. Those eligible for Phase 1B are any patients over the age of 75.
Phase 1B (
in order of priority
):
Persons age 75 and older
Persons age 65 – 74 with two or more high-risk medical conditions
Staff and persons living in other congregate settings (i.e., corrections, group homes, treatment centers, homeless shelters, etc.)
Persons age 65 and older with one or more high-risk medical conditions
Persons age 65 and older with or without high-risk medical conditions
Persons with two or more high-risk medical conditions * regardless of age
Child care workers
Workers employed by preschools or Kindergarten through 12th grade:
Teachers, nutritional services, aides, bus drivers, principals, administrative staff, custodians, etc.
The above information was obtained from the North Dakota Department of Health.
Patients at the current time will be receiving the Moderna vaccine, which is a two-part injection, with the second dose being delivered 28 days after the initial injection.
