St. Joseph’s Foundation supports community health in Rugby

It takes a variety of services to create a healthy community and St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation’s mission is to promote healthy communities throughout the region, including Rugby.

In the past year, St. Joseph’s Foundation has granted Kids Next Door Day Care $3,000 for toddler playground equipment and $5,000 toward the cost of fencing the new Haaland Estates memory care unit courtyard. Late last year, the Foundation’s first ever Twice Blessed matching campaign generated $1,000 for Heart of America Hospice, $2,000 for Heart of America Medical Center’s Cancer Care patient account, and more than $1,600 for the Haaland Estates Memory Care project.

“We are deeply grateful for St. Joseph’s Community Foundation’s support,” said Heart of America Medical Center CEO Patrick Branco. “From the very young to our most senior citizens, we all benefit from St. Joseph’s dedication to the mental, physical and spiritual well-being of our community.”

Since 1998, the Minot-based foundation has donated more than $6.8 million to organizations in Pierce, Bottineau, Burke, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Ward and Wells counties.
