Originally from Great Falls, Montana, Tangen completed medical school and residency training at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska. She began her medical career at St. Benedict’s Family Medical Center in Jerome, Idaho where she cared for patients of all ages. After practicing medicine for over 23 years at St. Benedict’s, Tangen and a colleague opened their own family practice clinic in Jerome where she treated patients for over a year and a half.
“Making the decision to relocate to Rugby was an easy one,” comments Tangen. “I prefer to care for the full spectrum of patients, from birth to geriatrics and Heart of America Johnson Clinic allows me to do that. I like working in smaller organizations alongside and with the support of other medical providers and professionals. I also prefer the quaint, small-town atmosphere that Rugby provides. When I’m not seeing patients I take time for reading, going to movies and being involved with my church and community.”
