Carol Shively Memorial Scholarship

The Good Samaritan Health Services Foundation is pleased to announce the 2026 recipients of the Carol Shively Memorial Nursing Scholarship. This year’s $500 scholarships have been awarded to Amber Haggerty and Tailyr Bush in recognition of their commitment to pursuing careers in nursing.

This annual scholarship supports Rugby-area students who are either pursuing or preparing to pursue a nursing career. Preference is given to applicants who have been accepted into a nursing program and who are employed, or plan to be employed, by the Good Samaritan Hospital Association. This includes Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, its clinics in Rugby, Maddock, and Dunseith, as well as Haaland Estates Basic Care and Assisted Living Facility.

The Foundation congratulates Amber and Tailyr and wishes them continued success as they further their education and serve in the healthcare field.

The next application period for the 2027 scholarship will open November 15, 2026, and close February 15, 2027.

If you have any questions about the scholarship, please direct them to Foundation Coordinator, McKayla Haman at (701) 776-5455 ext. 2218 or mhaman@hamc.com.
